The track is made from UHMW plastic, one piece up to 64ft. The system includes a suite of matching slides and batten receptacles based on your selection.
Your tides marine track system is sold by the foot, with a max of one slide for every 2 feet of track you need. Additional slides are available for purchase for additional costs.
Your new tides marine system minimizes stack height, carries less weight aloft and has low friction performance that rivals systems costing more than twice as much. You can install the track without going up the mast, and in many cases the system requires no holes drilled into the mast.
The tides marine track and slide system is a mainsail handling system designed to increase the ease of hoisting and dropping a modern mainsail. Modern full batten mainsails result in increased loads and demands from your track system, the tides marine system is here to fit those needs.
Track
The track is machined to fit 150+ different mast luff groove shapes. Flat or round internal. The track will also fit all the most common external track shapes.
The UHMW track is UV stable, and is not affected by salt water. The track is available in seamless lengths up to 64ft.
Track Types
There are 4 different track types. Internal Flat, Internal Round, External and CMPE.
CMPE is an external track type, using mounting clips either riveted or screwed to the mast. The price of the mounting clips is included in the cost of your track.
Slides
The 316 stainless slides are hand polished to be smooth with a low friction finish. There are several different sizes available. Please see the Tides Hardware page.
Batten Receptacles
There are 2 available sizes of tides marine batten receptacles. Both accept flat and round battens.
The receptacles are attached to your 316 stainless slides with a 10mm stud and rotate freely when raising or lowering your mainsail. Your tides system will also work with any competitive batten receptacle using the same 10mm stud configuration.
