Our Spinnaker Tacker is designed to keep your spinnaker close to the centerline of your boat by sliding over your headsail when it is furled. The tacker can be adjusted along your downhaul/tack line as needed. This allows you to fly your symmetrical spinnaker completely without a pole, similar to an asymmetrical spinnaker.

How to use your Spinnaker Tacker with a Symmetrical Spinnaker

  • Attach your halyard to the head of your spinnaker
  • Attach the sheet to your spinnaker’s clew
  • Attach the downhaul to the bell of the snap shackle on your tacker.
  • Wrap the tacker around your furled headsail, and secure the tacker with the carabiner onto the snap shackle’s bell.
  • Clip your tacker’s snap shackle onto the tack of your spinnaker and hoist the sail.
  • Trim your sheet and downhaul, and enjoy sailing!

  • Attach your halyard to the head of your spinnaker
  • Attach the sheet to your spinnaker’s clew

  • Clip your tacker’s snap shackle onto the tack of your spinnaker and hoist the sail.
